How Sai Yai Came to Be
Sai Yai was founded in Bangkok in 2011 by a small group of Thai family law practitioners who had each spent years working within larger firms. What they noticed, over and over again, was that the people coming to them were not just looking for legal strategy — they were looking for someone who would slow down, explain things clearly, and treat their situation with care.
The name Sai Yai — meaning "thread" in Thai — reflects what we believe legal support should feel like: a thread you can follow through a difficult time, steady and unbroken.
We have grown steadily since then, working with Thai families and international clients across Bangkok on matters ranging from separation and custody to estate planning and inter-family agreements. The practice remains deliberately measured in size, because we believe the quality of attention we give each person matters more than volume.

The legal framework is grounded in the Thai Civil and Commercial Code, and navigating it well requires both technical knowledge and an understanding of how these matters affect real people.
At Sai Yai, we work in English and Thai, which means we can support both Thai nationals and the large community of international residents in Bangkok who find themselves needing family legal guidance. Our team is familiar with the particular considerations that arise when one or both parties in a family matter hold foreign nationality, and we can advise on how Thai law applies in those circumstances.

Our office in the Ekkamai area of Watthana is quietly located and easy to reach from central Bangkok. We are available by appointment across the working week, with some flexibility for clients who need to meet outside standard hours.
